Our guest speaker will be Mazaruny Rincones from Sheridan Production Company and focuses on reservoir evaluation and performance. Ms. Rincones is a proud UH Alumni, paper contest winner and has had the privilege of being one of Dr. Lees’s students.
Ms. Rincones will be speaking about the current trends in academia and career success. Her experience will help you build, develop and hone the essential skills needed to improve employability and advancement in today’s dynamic workforce with real life examples based on her experiences. The basis of her presentation can be found as a specialization class at the University of California.
Ms. Rincones is a Petroleum Engineer with 10+ experience in the industry. She started her career as a field engineer in Venezuela with Schlumberger later moving into management and business development. Recently, she moved to Sheridan Production as a petrophysicist. She holds a Petroleum Engineering degree from Universidad Center de Venezuela at Caracas and Masters of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston. Ms. Rincones mater’s thesis under Dr. Lee’s guidance is currently in press as SPE paper #SPE-177018-MS, her work was recognized at the SPE Paper Contest, where she was awarded 1st place in the UH 2015 competition and 3rd place in the regional competition.
