The Society of Petroleum Engineers is the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. UH SPE is focused on providing many opportunities for its members to succeed and continuously learn more about the Oil and Gas industry. We offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the profession through our programs and activities and many of our accomplishments are driven by our dedicated members and student officers.

UHSPE has over 400+ members that are undergraduate and graduate students from many majors including petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, subsea engineering, mechanical engineering technology, and geophysics. Our Mission
To collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence.
Our Goal
Enable UH students to learn more about the global E&P industry and share technical knowledge to meet the world’s energy needs in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
